Meet Saurabh Bajaj
In my 23+ years of fundraising for nonprofit organizations, I have worked in every area of Development: individual donorship (both major gifts and grassroots fundraising), corporate partnership fundraising, planned giving, large-scale galas with 1,000+ attendees, Board fundraising and training, grant writing, and the operational side of fundraising, such as database management. My experience has allowed me to be a true thought partner to my staff members and to offer and recommend unique ideas and strategies.
In my last role as the Chief Development Officer at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, my mission was to drive impactful fundraising initiatives and foster a culture of philanthropy. With a passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy, my leadership was pivotal in orchestrating annual giving campaigns, securing transformative grants, and achieving record levels of fundraising (more than $23M annually). The organization thrived under my direction, increasing its outreach and support services through robust resource development strategies.
My tenure at both Freedom for All Americans and the Los Angeles LGBT Center honed my skills in building and nurturing donor relationships, team coordination, and executing large-scale fundraising events. Our team's collaborative efforts significantly advanced the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community, all while living our values daily as colleagues and community members.
